San Francisco Giants vs Pittsburgh Pirates (3:40pm)

Blake Snell is set to start for San Francisco, aiming to rebound after a rough outing against the Diamondbacks. Despite dealing with a left adductor strain, he looked impressive in his last two rehab stints last week, pitching nine hitless innings with 17 strikeouts for Single-A San Jose and Triple-A Sacramento.

The Pirates will counter with Jared Jones (3-4, 2.89 ERA) on the mound. Jones has been reliable this season, consistently pitching at least five innings and allowing three runs or fewer in each of his first nine starts. This will be his second start against San Francisco; he previously lost 3-2 in his last outing against them. Pittsburgh has momentum, having won four of their last five games, including a comeback victory last night.

SportsInsights reports that over 80% of the tickets and money are on the Pirates, which is encouraging. Snell as an underdog is an attractive bet, especially given his solid track record against a mediocre offense that hits just .075 AVG and .258 OBP against him. Pittsburgh has struggled at home, going 18-32 (-13.6 units) against the moneyline when the line is +125 to -125 over the last two seasons.
