New England Patriots vs Chicago Bears (5:15pm)

I like the Over 50.5 tonight in a matchup featuring two offenses trending in the right direction and two young quarterbacks capable of creating explosive plays. The biggest reason is Drake Maye and the Patriots offense. New England struggled offensively early in the season, but over its last three games the Patriots have averaged 33.3 points per game, with Maye throwing 10 touchdowns against just one interception during that stretch. Chicago's defense has also been vulnerable to explosive passing plays and ranks near the bottom of the NFL in yards allowed per play.

Maye's mobility makes this offense even more dangerous. Chicago can generate pressure, but Maye has consistently shown the ability to escape the pocket, extend plays and attack downfield. The Bears play man coverage at one of the highest rates in the league, which could create opportunities for A.J. Brown and New England's receivers to win one-on-one matchups. Chicago has also surrendered five touchdown passes over its last two games, including three last week against Atlanta.

On the other side, Caleb Williams looked extremely sharp in his return last week, completing 30 of 36 passes for 305 yards in Chicago's 31-23 win over Atlanta. The Bears rank 5th in the NFL at 388.3 yards per game, and their offense isn't dependent on the passing game either. Chicago owns the league's No. 1 rushing attack at 160.7 yards per game, giving the Bears multiple ways to consistently move the football and finish drives.

There are also defensive injuries that favor scoring. New England enters tonight without multiple cornerbacks, including Carlton Davis III, Channing Canada and Karon Prunty, which could make things much easier for Williams and Chicago's passing attack. The Bears are also missing linebacker Jack Sanborn, with T.J. Edwards doubtful.

Weather shouldn't interfere with the offenses either. The forecast at Soldier Field calls for clear conditions, temperatures around 60 degrees and winds near only 5 mph. This is about as good as you can ask for in Chicago in late October. I see plenty of paths to something like 27-24, 30-27 or 31-27.
