With two top-tier defenses, this total feels significantly inflated. Oddsmakers appear to be overestimating the Buckeyes' offensive outburst against Tennessee and Oregon while unfairly penalizing Texas for its fourth-quarter collapse against Arizona State. Ohio State has allowed just 12.1 points per game this season, the best in the nation, while Texas ranks fourth, surrendering only 14.5 PPG. While there may be a handful of big plays, they won't come close to the posted total! I have this game handicapped at 45-48 points combined. Since November 2022, when Texas allowed 27+ points last game they are 5-0 to the Under.
