Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos (1:25pm)

Updated: Mar 7

Denver has embarrased themselves these past two weeks, and their defense will likely need to step up to avoid another loss that could potentially eliminate them from playoff contention. Surprisingly, Russell Wilson has been benched for the rest of the season due to contractual reasons, leading to backup Jared Stidham taking the helm this afternoon. Stidham is set to make his first start of the season for the Broncos, adding an element of mystery to their offense. However, given Denver's status as one of the lowest-volume passing teams in the league, Stidham should be able to manage the game effectively.

Under the guidance of Giff Smith, the Chargers appear to be a completely transformed team, displaying improved receptiveness compared to their performance under Brandon Staley. Despite a tight loss to the Bills last week in the absence of Justin Herbert, the Chargers exhibited resilience and determination throughout the game. Although Los Angeles possesses a mediocre defense ranked 29th in yards allowed, it is doubtful that Denver will be able to exploit this weakness with their revamped offense.

Anticipated to be a low-scoring affair, this game is expected to conclude with a score of 20-17. The Chargers have trended towards the under in seven of their last 10 games, as have the Broncos. Considering these trends, I highly suggest taking the Under at the current number down to 37 points.

Pick: Under 38.5 (-110)

🍀Best of luck!
