Arizona Cardinals vs Dallas Cowboys (10:00am)

The case for Dallas covering begins with its offense. The Cowboys average 27 points per game, ranking fifth in the NFL, and meet an Arizona defense yielding 29.7 points per game. Dallas recently posted 38 points against Philadelphia, with Dak Prescott completing three touchdown passes. A balanced attack should help Dallas create separation against Arizona. Javonte Williams rushed for 155 yards last week, while Arizona permits roughly 126 rushing yards per game.
If Dallas establishes the run again, Prescott can operate from play-action and avoid obvious passing situations. Williams also offers the Cowboys a method to sustain possessions and protect a second-half lead.
Arizona’s offensive-line injuries provide another major advantage for Dallas. Right guard Jon Gaines II is out, and center Hjalte Froholdt was listed as questionable after missing Friday’s practice. Such issues could disrupt blocking assignments and leave the Cardinals facing longer third downs. That matters especially after Arizona converted just 5 of 17 third downs and scored a touchdown on only one of five red-zone trips against Denver. Dallas can widen the margin by turning its own drives into touchdowns while forcing Arizona to settle for field goals.
The Cardinals have been outscored by 9.4 points per game this season, but they have faced a schedule 3.3 points tougher than average, including Seattle, San Francisco, Detroit, the Rams, and Denver. Arizona’s offense has shown decent success rate (#14), yet ranks #19 in EPA per play because it sits last in explosive play rate. The Cardinals record the 6th lowest air yards per pass attempt in the league, which is not the way to exploit a Dallas defense allowing the 2nd highest explosive play rate.
Look for another convincing win by the Cowboys this week as they aim for .500 on the season.
