This game is one of my favorite public fades on the board! SportsInsights is reporting over 89% of the tickets and money on the Over right now, and the bookmakers have yet to move this total at all. When there’s no line movement, it usually signifies that the bookmakers are comfortable taking more action on the Over.
The Hornets are performing exceptionally poorly this season, particularly on the road. They have a dismal record of 6-16 overall and have managed to secure only one victory away from home. It doesn’t help that LaMelo Ball is struggling, hes scored only 16 pts or fewer in his last four straight games, shooting 32.8% from the field. Both Brandon Miller and Ryan Kalkbrenner is questionable to play after missing the teams last two games.
Toronto is recovering from a disappointing loss to the Lakers, where Rui Hachimura secured a game-winning three-pointer. The team has also been plagued by injuries, with RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and Ochai Agbaji still sidelined. Despite these setbacks, the defense has proven to be a reliable asset, consistently leading the team to victories. Notably, Toronto are allowing just 46.2% from the field and 32.6% from behind the arc.
In my opinion, this game will be played at a slow pace. Both teams rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to the pace of play. I have this game handicapped at 225 points combined, which means we are getting over 3 points of value on the total!
