California vs Hawaii (5:00pm)

Huge homecoming game for Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele as he travels back home to face Hawaii. Playing in front of family, friends and local fans will provide a massive emotional boost for him and his team. Sagapolutele is a stud and has been electric, throwing for over 3,100 yards this season with 17 touchdowns and just 9 interceptions. He's coming off a huge win against SMU where the Golden Bears were listed as 13.5 point underdogs. The Hawaiian stud torched a good SMU defense for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns! Cal's improving offense, led by Sagapolutele's dual-threat ability, should easily exploit mismatches tonight!

Hawaii has a 8-4 record with an impressive 6-1 home record, but they will be without some key pieces due to opt-outs and transfers. The loss of WR Jackson Harris will hurt their passing game the most! Quarterback Micah Alejado is solid with nearly 2,900 passing yards, 21 TDs, but the offense will likely struggle here. Cal ranks solidly in pass defense (43rd in success rate on dropbacks, which will definitely disrupt Hawaii's air-raid attack.

Expect a close, high-scoring affair, but Sagapolutele's poise and big play ability gives California the edge in this matchup.
