St. Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers (10:10am)

Please don't fall victim to the hype this morning! 23 year old righty, Alex Reyes will be on the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals and will be making his first start of the season since his Tommy John surgery and I expect the Brewers to give him a rude awakening. Reyes is being touted as their top prospect and I can see why the public has taking a liking to his potential in the Majors. The hard-throwing Reyes dominated the 2016 season where he finished 4-1 with a 1.57 ERA.

Junior Guerra has been a nice surprise for the Brewers this season, posting a solid 2.98 ERA over nine starts. He's allowed just two earned runs or fewer in seven of those games. He's only 3-3 entering today's game, but his ERA is a respectable 2.98 eRA and low 1.18 WHIP. What's even more impressive is that batter are only hitting .214 against him. Milwaukee's pitching staff has given up 3.7 runs per game overall this year. The bullpen is ranked #1 in the Majors with a 2.44 ERA and 1.10 WHIP as well.

I'm putting my money on the Brewers today and it's mainly because I know what I'm going to get with Junior Guerra. Although Alex Reyes has played very well in his rehab stint it's still not the same as playing in the Major Leagues. I also favored the Brewer's lineup over the Cardinals this morning. St. Louis are playing with recently injured Tommy Pham, Yadier Molina, and Jedd Gyorko.

Pick: Milwaukee Brewers ML (+100)

Best of luck!
