Houston vs LSU (6:00pm)

Houston is on fire right now winning 8 games in a row! The Cougars haven't played this well since the early 2007-08 season where they started with a 11-1 record. Fresh on their minds will be the ass whooping they received from LSU last year where they lost 84-65! Rob Gray Jr. of Houston continues to lead his team this year scoring over 21.6 points and dishing out 4 assist per game. Make no mistake, the entire team's offense is legit! There are at least four players who have made 17 3-pointers or more this season. Cougars are currently shooting over 42% from behind the arc this season.

The Tigers will be playing without Brandon Sampson tonight due to an ankle injury. He's one their top scorers this season and will be missed dearly this evening. LSU should really struggle to find the bottom of the net tonight as they face one of NCAA's best defenses. Another issue I foresee the Tigers having to face will be in their rebounding. The edge will surely go to Houston this evening. The Cougars are ranked 19th in the Nation in offensive rebounding while the Tigers are ranked 283rd in defensive rebounding.

It's much harder to guess what you're going to get with LSU offensively and that should be a huge red flag! I've been sleeping on this Houston team all year but the win against Arkansas has me convinced that they are much better than I thought. My models and system has the Cougars winning by 5-10 points this evening. Don't be afraid to lay the small road chalk!

Pick: Houston -2 (-120)

Best of luck!
