NBA Simulation Picks for Thursday

Los Angeles Lakers vs Washington Wizards (4:05pm)

Picks: Wizards -11 / Under 216.5

Projected: Wizards 112 Lakers 100

70% of the tickets bring written right now are for the over! I'm predicting the total opposite however as we look for a low scoring game in this matchup. The Lakers have decent offensive weapons, including five players who average 13 points or more. One of those players, Julius Randle, may be out for Thursday’s game due to an illness, but that is still to be determined. The Washington Wizards are averaging 106.9 points on 47.7 percent shooting and allowing 105 points on 45.8 percent shooting. John Wall is averaging 22.7 points and 10.3 assists while Bradley Beal is averaging 22 points and 2.9 rebounds. The Washington Wizards are shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc and 78.4 percent from the free throw line.

  • Under is 20-8 in Lakers last 28 vs. NBA Southeast.

  • Under is 6-2 in Wizards last 8 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous matchup

Atlanta Hawks vs Houston Rockets (5:00pm)

Picks: Hawks +9 / Over 223.5

Projected: Hawks 112 Rockets 118

We are catching the Rockets in a bad spot as they recently cooled down splitting their last 10 games. I see tons of value on the Hawks tonight being the road underdog catching almost 10 points. Atlanta has silently been doing very well on the road cashing in 9 of the last 12 road games against the spread. Another huge advantage the Hawks have going for them tonight is their defense. Atlanta is currently ranked 5th in defensive efficiency while the Houston is ranked 16th in this category. Look for a close game tonight with the Hawks easily covering the spread for us.

Hawks are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games playing on 0 days rest.

Philadelphia 76'ers vs San Antonio Spurs (5:30pm)

 Picks: Sixers +15.5 / Over 212

Projected: Sixers 99 Spurs 114

At first glance I was thinking about taking the Spurs but I after more research I feel the Sixers should have no issues covering the 15 points tonight. You got to think the Sixers still have that (119-68) ass whooping by the Spurs on their mind. I have to believe last night's loss to the Mavericks was a clearly just a look ahead. Philadelphia could of easily overlooked that game but I feel they will bring out their best efforts against San Antonio tonight. Factor in some recent trends and I find it hard not to give the Sixers some credit for their recent success.

76ers are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games overall

Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Clippers (7:30pm)

Picks: Warriors -9.5 / Under 227.5

Projected: Warriors 119 Clippers 108

The Clippers are still trying to cope with All-Star Chris Paul being out of the starting lineup. It's being reported that Paul will miss several more weeks! The Clippers have won six of their last 10 games overall and are trying to remain as a top four seed for the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors are seeking their third win of the season over the Clippers in this contest. The Warriors have dominated the Clippers in both meetings winning by a score of 115-98 and a 144-98 win last Saturday. I simply can't see the Clippers competing with the Warriors without CP3. They simply don't have enough playmakers to outscore the Warriors. My models and systems have the Warriors winning by 15+ tonight.

Best of luck!
