St. Louis Cardinals vs Chicago Cubs (11:20am)
The Cubs will play host today and open up a three game series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals will have right hander Mike Leake on the mound, and the Cubs will counter with their ace Jake Arrieta. I wasn't able to find too much value in betting the side due to the high risk low reward of taking the Cubs today but the total is something you should look into. The Cubs have scored over 11 runs in their last 19 innings of work against Leake and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon. Offense will be the main focus of this game. The Cubs have already won the National League Central and should clinch with the best record this season any day now. The Cardinals are still fighting for a Wild Card spot so I don't expect any type of letdown today. St. Louis is averaging over 4.79 runs a game ranking them fifth in the majors and although it may seem like a tough task to get runs against an ace like Arrieta, I feel the Cardinals are due for a huge offensive series against the Cubs. Jake Arrieta is only 2-6 against St. Louis so he can be beaten. Look for no less than 9 runs between these two teams in a high scoring affair.
