The Cardinals are 7.5 games behind the Cubs, but the good news is the Cardinals are a team that has been very good down the stretch. Today the Cardinals will facing a Cincinnati Reds team that is completely rebuilding their entire team. The Reds recently let go one of their top performers (Jay Bruce) he had 80 RBI and 25 homers this season. Cincinnati will need the rest of the team to get it going offensively to get a win tonight.
Michael Wacha will head to the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals tonight. He's currently 6-8 with a 4.38 ERA. I know it doesn't look good on paper but Wacha has done very well historically against the Reds. The Cincinnati Reds are only hitting .265 against Wacha so runs will be scarce.
The Cardinals are 16-7 in their last 23 road games and are 25-12 in their last 37 Wednesday's games. While the over is 20-5-1 in Wacha’s last 26 road starts. The over is 14-6-2 in Cincinnati’s last 22 Wednesday games and the Reds are 7-3 in their last 10 overall while going 7-3 in their last 10 games on grass. St. Louis are 8-2 in their last 10 meetings.
All signs are saying Cardinals win in a rout!
