Today, the Baltimore Orioles will start right hander pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound. He's posting a 3.71 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP across three starts where he's (1-1) Although Jimenez has personally won me some money during this early MLB season I can't seem to trust him on the road. Jimenez is still searching for consistency on the road as his ERA is a horrible 5.73 when he pitches away from Oriole Park.
Jake Odorizzi will be on the mound today for the Tampa Bay Rays. He's currently 0-1 with a 3.58 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. I'm predicting a solid performance from him against the Orioles today. Odorizzi has always pitched very well against the Baltimore Orioles. He boasts a low 1.75 ERA against the Tampa Bay Rays and will need another solid outing to get game two of the series.
Look for a close game from these two teams where the Rays will probably pull away in the later part of the game. The Orioles have been on fire so far this season but I'm looking for them to cool down offensively. The Rays continue using their momentum from the Yankees series and build a nice run for themselves!
