The Redsox are looking to bounce back after being killed 8-3 where Buchholz imploded in the 5th inning surrendering a grand slam to the Astros. Tonight we have Henry Owens making his first start for the Redsox as he faces the Houston Astros! In his rookie campaign Owens went 4-4 in eleven starts with a 4.57 ERA in over 63 innings of work.
The Houston Astros could really use some luck as they have now lost eight of their last 11 games. They will look for starting pitcher Scott Feldman to take the hill. He's currently 0-2 with a 4.11 ERA and 10 strikeouts this season. In his lifetime he has always struggled against the Redsox. Feldman is 1-4 with a 7.24 ERA against the Redsox.
I feel the team with the advantage tonight is the Boston Redsox. Although it may seem like Owens doesn't have a lot of big league experience he has done fine for himself. I look for him to have the edge since the Astros haven't seen much of him. Look for a solid performance from him today for the Redsox to wrap up the series.
