San Diego Padres vs Philadelphia Phillies (12:05pm PST)

The Padres have been struggling to climb out of their 2-4 hole but were able to sneak away with two wins against the Rockies this past weekend. The Padre's offense have scored over 32 runs in the last three games but the pitching has been sort of a let down so far this early season. Andrew Cashner will be on the mound for San Diego and he will face Aaron Nola of the Philadelphia Phillies who is sporting a 2.77 ERA with 12 strikeouts in his career against the Padres.
This game screams a play on the Under (8 (-110) today. The reason I'm betting the Under is because I'm predicting the Padre's offense to come back down to life and their pitching to get better. Andrew Cashner is looking to bounce back from his last outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cashner was lit up for 5 runs on 6 hits before he was yanked out of the game. Although his ERA looks horrible Cashner has actually pitched very well at Citizens Bank Park. He is 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA and 22 strikeouts in his career against the Phillies.
The Phillies will look to win their third straight game after taking two of three from the New York Mets! Their pitching played a huge part in their recent success. I look for Aaron Nola to have another solid outing and help carry the number under the posted total.
Goodluck!
