St. Mary's vs Valparaiso (4:00pm PST)

When I first looked at this game I quickly thought taking the points would be the best decision. It took some time analyzing this game but I'm happy to conclude that Valparaiso will cover the spread and beat St, Marys by atleast 7-9 points tonight.

Betting on ranked teams is something we easily fall trap to from time to time. I asked myself a question when I saw the spread for this game. "Why is the unranked team in this matchup the favorite for the game?" You would think the ranked team of this matchup would be the favorite right? Valparaiso opened up as a 5 point favorite and closed at -3.5.

Valparaiso is being heavily overlooked tonight. One of the key strengths of this team is in their defense! They are only allowing 64.1 points and their opponents are only shooting 39.1% This will play a huge role in their victory today. I also feel they play in a tougher conference and should show that. Being at home will give them that extra confidence to get us a win.
