Harvey hasn't been pitching the same and everyone has been noticing. He ended a horrible three game drought striking out 9 and limiting the Diamondbacks to two runs and five hits over seven solid innings. He is currently 8-6 with a 3.07 ERA.
Gonzalez has been very solid for Nationals this first half of the season! He is currently 6-4 with a 3.99 ERA. His record isn't really spectular as you may think and that's due to four no decisions he has received.
I believe the edge here is with the New York Mets, they should be the more motivated team tonight. They are seeking revenge from their losses prior and will have their ace on the mound. The key advantage with the pitching match up tonight is WHIP.
Harvey boasts a 1.09 WHIP compared to Gonzales's 1.44 WHIP. Tonight will be a tight game and runs will be a premium. I will trust the pitcher with the lower WHIP to get the W tonight. Look into the Mets tonight, Harvey as an underdog sounds good with me.
